The Patient Journey from the Care Partner Perspective
October 18 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
When your loved one is living with a chronic degenerative disease, you’re often called to take on new and sometimes overwhelming roles: Coach. Cheerleader. Detective. Decision maker. Travel coordinator. Caregiver.
In part one of this two-part series in partnership with Abbott, Drew Falconer, MD, will explore the movement disorders journey from the care partner’s perspective. He’ll talk about your loved one’s diagnosis and treatment trajectory, challenges and tips for accessing medications and treatments like deep brain stimulation (DBS), and he’ll invite you into discussion and reflection on how each stage of the journey impacts you. You may not have Parkinson’s, but when your partner does, it’s like you’re living with it, too. You deserve to be prepared and supported.
