4 State Alliance for Parkinson’s Support (4SAPS)

4 State Alliance for Parkinson's Support

The 4 State Alliance for Parkinson’s Support or 4SAPS is an informal organization of group leaders representing support groups from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. Most of the group are in rural areas, with IPMDC being the only member with support groups in an urban area.

We meet on Zoom once a month on the 1st Tuesday of each month, just to connect, and share what works for us and what doesn’t.

We’re working on updating information for these groups, so if you have any changes you’d like us to make, or questions about 4SAPS, please contact sonia.gow@inova.org .

Telehealth
A resource we’ve recently learned about is available for patients in Pennsylvania and West Virginia (other states as well). These are neurologists, including a movement disorders specialist, who can provide care via telehealth.
For additional information please visit www.synapticure.com.

For patients in Virginia, the team of movement disorders specialists at Inova Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center can help. Details at www.inova.org/move.
