Home Safety Evaluations

See also www.ipmdc.org/falls

Sometimes it is necessary to have an Occupational Therapist evaluate your home to determine whether there are changes that can be made to help you be safer at the home. These changes typically include modifications to your home to help you stand up, sit down, use stairs, and wash yourself. Not everybody with Parkinson’s Disease needs these assessments.

*Assessments by occupational therapists and home health services need to be ordered by your physician in order to be covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance companies.

Click here for a list of webinars on home modifications with thanks to Positive Aging Sourcebook.
