What? Easy Group Hike
When? Friday, May 29 at 9:30am
Where? Sweet Run State Park
Sweet Run State Park opened in 2023 and is the first state park in Loudoun County. It is located in a valley between Short Hill Mountain and the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the late 18th century, settlers developed a community at the intersection of Piney and Sweet Run Streams. Remnants of this community are still visible in the park such as old buildings and charcoal hearths.
Easy Hike: Approximately 2 miles with little elevation.
This park is located in Hillsboro, VA, approximately 4 miles from Harper’s Ferry. Our trail will take us along streams, through the forest, meadows, and mountain-side terrain.
This hike should take approximately 60-90 minutes. Continue to enjoy your day by visiting Harpers Ferry National Historic Park or one of the many wineries and breweries in Loudoun County.
Come meet other outdoor-loving individuals while logging a workout and lowering stress. Please email us if you’re interested in joining so we can provide you with meetup details, carpooling options, and notify you about any changes due to weather.
