For everyone who cares for someone with Parkinson’s and related movement disorders.

2nd Tuesday of each month
from 2:30 – 3:30 pm (ET)
We understand that living with Parkinson’s or caring for someone with the condition comes with unique challenges. Our new program – Parkinson’s Journey- is designed to empower both individuals with Parkinson’s and their care partners (or journey partners) by addressing a wide range of topics to support and manage the Parkinson’s journey.
We provide insights into understanding symptoms and treatments, navigating communication, employing effective caregiving strategies, and addressing well-being and everyday challenges. Our goal is to offer evidence-based information and practical advice tailored to each of these themes. Designed for everyone who cares for someone with Parkinson’s & related movement disorders, this program offers tools, resources, and community support to enhance confidence, resilience, and quality of life.

Caring for someone with Atypical Parkinsonisms?
Tuesday, January 14, 2025
Caring for individuals with atypical Parkinsonism—conditions that share symptoms with Parkinson’s disease, such as rigidity, balance issues, and slow movement—requires managing ever more complex and rapidly progressing challenges.
These disorders, which include Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS), and Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) each present with unique mobility, cognitive, and emotional difficulties.
It is essential to prioritize education and support for both caregivers and individuals affected by these disorders to best address them and minimize the significant burden that can be associated with them.
