How can digital tools support Parkinson’s care?

How can digital tools support Parkinson's care?

Tuesday, January 13

(recorded)

Technology is playing an increasingly important role across many aspects of Parkinson’s—yet it is not always obvious how these innovations translate into meaningful, practical benefit for people living with the condition and their families.

While there is a rapidly expanding ecosystem of self-tracking tools, including apps and wearables, many remain inconsistently validated, and real-world adoption has been slower than expected. Although artificial intelligence continues to dominate headlines, truly patient-ready applications in Parkinson’s have not yet kept pace with the hype.

Join speech-language pathologist John Dean, MA, CCC-SLP, and physiotherapist Josefa Domingos, PT, PhD, for a focused conversation on what is genuinely emerging, what is already useful today, and how to make smarter, more confident choices about digital tools.
